Elite climber Kevin Jorgeson shares his struggles and breakthroughs in Training, Nutrition, Tactics, and Mental Game.
-
You know Kevin from his iconic first free ascent of The Dawn Wall along with Tommy Caldwell, a climb that took over 6 years to put together and is widely known as the most challenging big wall route in the world. Kevin is an incredibly accomplished climber, from dominating comps as a youth to becoming one of the strongest boulderers in the world with sends up to V14, including first ascents on the now classic Buttermilk highballs The Beautiful And The Damned and Ambrosia. In this episode, Kevin shares his struggles and breakthroughs, from being terrified of the height on El Cap, to fear of failure, to recovering from a recent pulley injury. We also dive into his incredibly inspiring work to introduce a million kids to climbing through his non-profit organization called 1Climb, and also his work to open up a world class gym in his home town.

Elite climber Favia Dubyk shares her struggles and breakthroughs in Training, Nutrition, Tactics, and Mental Game.
-
If there’s anyone who personifies struggle, and the the breakthroughs that can come from it, Favia is that person. She almost died, multiple times, as she battled cancer and the complications from treatment; she has faced, and continues to face, racism and discrimination on and off the rock; she battled her way back from debilitating injuries and atrophy post-cancer… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Favia is a doctor, a ridiculously strong climber, an ultimate ninja warrior, and a low-ball boulderer with many V-double-digits to her name. Her story is as unbelievable as it is inspiring.

Elite climber Jordan Cannon shares his struggles and breakthroughs in Training, Nutrition, Tactics, and Mental Game.
-
Jordan is making a name for himself in the world of big wall ascents and link-ups, such as The Freerider in a day, the Yosemite Triple Crown in a day, and Golden Gate in a day. There are only 5 humans on planet earth who have done that and Jordan is one of them. In addition to being a rockstar climber, Jordan’s helping to educate multi-pitch climbers and amplify climbing’s history through his partnership with The American Alpine Club, and he’s also working to make climbing more inclusive for the LGBTQ community. This interview is chock full of insights, practical tips, and great stories.

Elite climber Alex Megos shares his struggles and breakthroughs in Training, Nutrition, Tactics, and Mental Game.
-
Alex is one of the strongest climbers in the world, with a few 9b+ or 5.15c routes under his belt including King Capella, Perfecto Mundo, and the first ascent of Bibliographie. He was the first ever climber to on-site 9a or 5.14d, and he has also sent multiple V15 and V16 boulders. He’s crazy strong and talented, but as you’ll hear in our chat, he is most certainly human and struggles in his climbing like the rest of us. We also chat about his view on kneepads and kneebars, his passion for environmental causes, and his giveback clothing company Carrots For Power.

Elite climber Emily Harrington shares her struggles and breakthroughs in Training, Nutrition, Tactics, and Mental Game.
-
Emily is a quadruple threat, with massive accomplishments from big walls to sport to comp to alpine. She’s one of only 5 people, and the first woman, to send El Cap in a day via the Golden Gate route. Emily has also red pointed 5.14b, she’s a 5-time US Sport Climbing Champion, and she has summited Mt Everest. Basically, she's the least lazy person you know. There’s just so much we can learn from her struggles and breakthroughs and she’s 100% real with it all in this interview.
